Every team employs mercenaries at this point. They may not encapsulate the
entire team, but every team has paid for at least a few of them.
You really don't think other guys on the team won't relate to a guy who was promised money and then the university went back on it?
Now, I question his value. He's getting a lot of run nationally due to UNLV being undefeated through 3 whole games, but he's coming from Holy Cross. Despite what his father is now claiming, he doesn't wind up at UNLV unless that was his best offer. His stats so far for a QB are not great, not even close. At best, his suiters are fellow MWC teams. The ones that currently remain in the MWC and aren't headed to the PAC.

I think he is doing this because he is already aware of the school or schools that want him and what they will offer.
