Have you lived in Utah and then moved out?
So I never thought Utah had an accent. I moved out of Utah and met my wife (who has never lived in Utah). She would always make fun of a “Utah accent”. I told her she was crazy. 20+ years later I can definitely say Utah (men especially) has a unique accent. Not sure it entails a lisp, and I wouldn’t describe it as such…
