From the interviews I’ve heard/watched, you’re right about how ‘brutal’ it was.
But a lot of them seem really grateful for the experience. I'm not sure how much of that is kissing up to Lorne or if they really are grateful.
Many movie careers were launched due to time spent on SNL and connections made there.
