Parker Kingston is one lucky son of a gun.
Everyone's ecstatic about the amazing punt return touchdown (which was awesome, and which earned Kingston Big 12 ST player of the week honors), but remember a lot had to go right for that thing to play out the way it did.

First of all, Parker badly misjudged the punt. When he saw it skying over his head, he should have let it go. Instead he tried to catch it over his shoulders running the opposite direction. He didn't catch it, but he touched it, so it was a live ball.

Now for the luck: The live ball bounced neatly into Parker's hands, thank goodness. He should have been tackled around the five-yard line, but thanks to a comedy of errors by the K-State coverage team (including at least two missed tackles and four different trips) he escapes and is able to turn the corner. And then, the icing on the cake, he BARELY hangs on to the ball when he crosses the goal line, saving himself from a Utah-esque goal-line-fumble situation by inches. INCHES!

You know how we still make fun of Utah for Kaelin Clay's fumble? THAT COULD HAVE BEEN US!

I know you guys already know all this, but dang. If I were Parker Kingston I'd still be saying prayers of gratitude that that whole thing went down the way it did. Because it could have been VERY bad at least three different ways.
