This pretty much cements the Pac-12 as a Big 6 basketball conference.
It also makes things very attractive for Memphis and UNLV--two historic basketball brands that would be a win-win for the schools and the Pac-12.
Over the long haul, as things shake out in other conference alignment scenarios, the Pac-12 finding a way to rebuild as the best of the rest in football and a Big Six league in basketball is actually pretty solid positioning.
Probably a safe move with solid upside for GU as well. They get an uplift in conference revenue (they already make a train load from NCAA Tournament credits, etc.), and they stay anchored in the West Coast--and now in the top West Coast located basketball league.
