His closing speed on the QB from the LB position is something I haven’t seen at Brigham since Kyle.
He’s been amazing at spy against two fast quarterbacks and even when he’s not making the sack, he’s pressuring and disrupting.
But an underappreciated advantage is that having a spy they can trust behind them lets D linemen get a little more aggressive and creative in their own rush and pressure.
I think that’s why Batty asked for the spy specifically. Let him know he can make an aggressive play without worrying too much that being outside his lane will let the QB make a long break.
