They executed well with the short fields given to them, so I give them credit there. But for whatever reason, Arod has these moments in the game where situationally it doesn’t make any sense with what he is trying to do or accomplish. Also like mentioned, our 3rd down calls have been terrible conceptually.

Jake is just a wildcard out there both with his decision making and his throws. Decision making we saw it a few times on Saturday where the lack of IQ/Awareness in the moment killed momentum. Then his throws you just don’t know what you are going to get. Sometimes they are right on the money in terms of distance, velocity and placement. Then you have him firing the fastest bullet pass to the flat that I’m surprised our HB caught, or short arming an open receiver for a first down, or throwing it down the field to the wrong shoulder, etc. I have no idea the type of throw we will see when it’s a passing play, and just hope it’s one of his better ones. Turnovers are really the only way he loses the job this year barring injury.

We obviously have to live with both, and hopefully the defense can keep putting them in advantageous positions, because if we have to convert consistently all game on 75+ yard drives, then I don’t like our chances.
