My dad graduated from BYU in the 50's, left the Church in the early 60's, and he
remained a rabid BYU fan the rest of his life. Enjoy your fandom!
My Dad convinced some friends from work to travel to San Diego with him to see the 1980 Holiday Bowl vs. SMU. When BYU was getting blown out, his friends kept wanting to leave the game. Finally, they left without him midway through the fourth quarter. He stayed to witness the miracle ending because he kept believing in BYU!
