in both basketball and football, has struggled with consistency. They will jump up and win the occasional big game, but drop the regular games against lesser opponents that they should win.

That is what is so impressive with Gonzaga in the WCC. They win the big games out of conference, but also take care of the ho-hum, boring games in conference. And that is why BYU never really competed for a WCC title. They could not win enough of the games they should win so that even when they beat St. Mary's and Gonzaga, they were still out of it because of losses to teams like Pepperdine and SDU.

Don't get me wrong, I am relishing this victory. What a fun game! But I personally would like to see a workman's win over Baylor on the road before I fully buy into the hype.
