Throughout the week, I was busy with things that kept the company moving and were beneficial, albeit not planned, activities. I had needed paperwork building up that I was not able to get to.
Today, I was able to get to all of that building up paperwork and knock it out. Good? Yes. Productive? Yes. As good as the rest of the week? Heck no. Days like today don't generally make the company more money, more ability to distinguish itself from other companies, etc.
The WFH advocates either have a different type of desk job than I have, or they have convinced themselves that not letting paperwork build up is more important for their company's wellbeing than the collaborative work that gets done inside an office.
