that has netted us TDs probably 75% of the time. We call it Area 51. It's a combination of what we call a 5 route (just a short route), and a 1, which is just a deep route. Basically, the receiver takes a few steps, turns around, puts his hands up and the QB does a pump fake. If the DB is playing really close, he almost always bites on the fake. Then the receiver turns around and bolts up field.

Such a simple play but young kids always bite on the fake. You may need something more sophisticated at that age. 😃
