So I'm guessing that's what is holding the tree up. I'm wondering if the dirt was actually pushed up to where it is now, around the tree some time ago and these are either roots or they are just branches. In this back lot, we have about 20 really big trees, this one is a small one compared to some of the others. But I really like this one and don't want to lose it.
