...sometimes he throws right on the money, but like chismoso said, there were a number of passes where he didnt have much pressure where he either threw it behind the receiver, in the dirt or literally like 3-5yds away from his intended target.
Where is that consistency? He's been playing fb a long time... anyone making it to this level should have that type of consistency at this stage.
He is also slow on his reads and gets happy feet often which causes undue pressure on him when a more mature QB stays calm, let's the play develop and makes things happen.
Retzlaff has had some great moments, but he has also had some real headscratchers. And with his propensity for turning the ball over, it's often one step forward and two steps back-- at least at this point.
I'm trying to stay optimistic on him this week and wait to see what he does on Sat vs K State... that will be his moment to show what he can really do and if he's the guy or not...
