1. It has no respect for the defense. You think the OC has the ability to always outsmart the defense? There is never a defensive scheme that can cover all the WRs? A DC can’t ever bet the house in the run game and rush 7-8 guys?
2. It ignores the fact that execution isn’t perfect every play. On some of those plays you mentioned the playcall may have worked perfectly if a WR or lineman hadn’t stumbled or if a WR had made a better read and run their route slightly differently. While a coach does need to demand high execution sometimes a play just isn’t executed right.
