Colorado Mesa has 6,600 full time students. They have an 8,000 seat stadium that is never filled. They are not competitive at the Division 2 level (I played against and beat them soundly back in the day and they struggled to beat A&M Kingsville in Week 1 which is far from a D2 powerhouse).

I have no doubt they are trying to move up. But the jump from Division 2 to the Pac? Even the new Pac? I just don't see it.

Grand Junction has a population of 68,000 that may get to 100,000 with all of the surrounding areas. There simply isn't enough people to support them.

If it does happen (and I trust your information) I will laugh because that is bound to fail. I mean even their airport is an absolute joke. Not sure how fans would get there (I guess through Denver and then on a little plane out to Grand Junction?)
