We were longtime conference mates and beat them more often than they beat us. We won more up until the 1950s and 60s, when things became pretty one-sided in favor of Wyoming, and then its been mostly BYU since 1970. And in many of our wins we really laid the wood to them.

There's probably a fair number of Cowboy fans that see us as self-righteous uptites, while many BYU fans point at them as drunk yokels. Neither is as true as fans would allege.

Some WYO fans think BYU pulled a fast one when exiting the MWC and trying to negotiate a deal with the WAC. They think BYU was only looking out for itself.
