Mangelaon and Nelson have been absolute game changers while Batty is double
Teamed most plays. They have gotten an impressive push and penetration that we haven’t since Tonga at DT.
It has really disrupted the rhythm of the other teams quarterbacks

You could really list every player on defense so far to be honest. And Jay Hill

Which tells me a lot about the coaching.

Mangelson and Nelson have been great DTs thus far. When we go 3 DLs, I see Singh

It is a massive improvement that we have not talked about Etienne much at all

Exactly. Him not being talked about is a good thing. Not making blatant mistakes

He had a huge block on the 4th and 1 option run for 35-ish yards by Miles Davis to set up the win.

Hopefully Coach Woods sticks around for a long time, so BYU won't have to find

Evan Johnson is definitely a more than pleasant surprise.

It is nice to see a guy directly recruited to BYU develop at the CB position.

Agree, though BYU has historically manned the CB position with transfers.

Biggest surprise to me is that he seems to like contact. Haven't seen him shy away from hitting anybody. We get corners
