Many places will professionally restore headlights for less than $100. Given the
amount of sanding and polishing and compound to achieve good results this is a no brainer for me. It won't last forever but it typically lasts longer than the average DIY job.

Not for our old minivan. The oxidation has occurred on both the inside and outside surfaces of the headlight.
