and to the extent it's used at all, you're grossly misinterpreting what it means. It almost means the OPPOSITE of what you intended. It means not to sit around hoping and doing nothing. IOW, don't sit around *hoping* that Retzlaff will magically improve and change his stripes. Rather, take a proactive step of replacing him instead of simply hoping. Nice try, though.
