I'd avoid Elantris and Warbreaker for now. Warbreaker's plot revolves around a newlywed couple learning how to have ... relations ... and Elantris has some graphic violence that isn't really worse than Mistborn, but it's also the slowest of Sanderson's books. If you're doing cosmere, go Stormlight Archive next after Secret History.
