The CEO of a company sets the vision and the pace. Great assistants can do good things, but without a great CEO, they will not have the direction set right.
When Bronco was an assistant at BYU, there was a rift between offense and defense for many reasons. But, the main one was the difference in culture between the two. Crowton didn’t set the direction so Assistants were left to do it themselves and it wasn’t unified.
