This really sucks because I like Tesla and I actually think the Cybertruck is top 5 most epic things I’ve ever driven, but my job is to push things to the limit without being biased. Something like this is just not acceptable on a truck that is rated to tow 11k lbs, I’ve absolutely beaten the crap out of trucks much smaller than this and it’s nearly impossible to rip off the hitch like this. The issue is there is no steel element properly tying the hitch to the frame, only a few bolts right on the tail end of it (which cause a break point themselves) Yes it may have impacted the concrete culverts before this, but any steel frame would NEVER do this. I hope in the future, auto manufacturers are more willing to work with me so they have a head start on addressing things like this. Computer science and college degrees go a long way, but nothing can make up for a lack of real life, physical experience.
