hanging out of one of his kids cars (walking with my wife), like almost on his side coming out the passenger side door. When we got close we called out to say, "hi". He stood and showed us a massive wad of cash. Mostly $1, but other denominations. He said his daughter waits tables and apparently just puts the cash tips in the glove box after work most days. He said he was going to take the cash and deposit it in her account at the bank (she was on vacation and left the car). Later he texted to ask us to guess how much the deposit was. I guessed $300-400, my wife $200. There was over $640 in cash in the glove box! Beat up old car, so not something thieves would be eyeing. Might have been more cash in the glove box than the car was worth. Probably close. CRAZY!
