I would submit BYU has played better than their recruiting rankings would have indicated
So player development, on balance, has been pretty good.
Allgeier and Milne were walk-ons
Freeland was a converted QB
Christensen was a borderline prospect
Wilcox was essentially unrecruited
etc.
