I only learned this past week, by watching the Olympics, that the 10.0 max scoring scale has been abandoned. I also learned the change was agreed on 20 years ago.

I still don’t understand the new scoring, but apparently 15.066 is the new perfect score, because that is what Biles got for her exceptional, as perfect as I could imagine floor exercise.
