I'm told the same. Went to donate blood one time and they pricked a nerve
and made such a mess with that attempt that they said they couldn't use that arm anymore. So after patching that arm up I allowed them to do the other arm with the expertise of someone else stepping in. The arm where they hit a nerve buzzed and tingled with a bit of pain when full extended for a good week afterwards.
