morning after a lengthy battle with multiple sclerosis.
I'm sure I have earlier memories, but I swear one of my earliest is the keychain she had that played the BYU fight song. She loved that thing, and her and I would push the button all day long and sing the fight song when I was a kid.
She and my Dad were there when Miami came to Provo, and she always bragged that she knew BYU was going to win. She had our whole family at RC Willey watching a wall full of TV's covering the Heisman presentation when Ty won it. In the early 90's she was an avid KSL listener and won a chance to do a football toss on the field for prizes, and won a trip to one of the Holiday Bowls in that era.
Her birthday was September 5, and she said BYU always won when they played on that day. I don't know the stats, but I know that was true for Oklahoma @ Jerry world and the hail Mary @ Nebraska.
Nobody could scream at a TV like her (especially at the defense) and she would rival many of you in taking joy in a Utah loss.
Games won't be the same with out her, but she is finally free of the pain and limitations of MS.
Thanks CB for being a place to share these things.
