I enjoy it
I have an inflatable one. It's good exercise while being pretty peaceful (depending on where you go).
It's not amazing or anything, but it's a nice activity.
Canoing is obviously much better if the point is to go somewhere.

Inflatable. Ours came with an electric pump so we can get the psi just right. My kids love them
