Some of the clunky things include powerhouses regularly getting beat by G5 or FCS teams, the difficulty of tracking stats for other players and schools, missing mass subs and formation subs, a permanent autosave, rankings having 5-5 or teams with losing records regularly ranked, and defensive players with mediocre stats winning the Heisman. A 30-year limit is disappointing. Editing conferences is clunky and way worse than before. Teambuilder can't control rivals.

I will say recruiting is significantly better and gameplay + play calling systems are improved.
