13:30 for the 5K is great but it isn't elite ("dime a dozen"). Kenny and Corrigan elected to enter a niche discipline where their "good" talent would be more competitive.

That said, they both have shown a patience to learn strong hurdling technique and have developed a very strong ability to attack the obstacles in the final 800m.
