Meh...I'll bite.
1. Utah very well knew their value and that's why they could try and keep the P10 together as long as they could, knowing there was always a big 12 offer on the table.

BYU had claimed that bc BYU had the bigger brand, "owned" the Utah market and with recent Utah losses to OOC teams and a few annoying fans on twitter, Utah was going to get passed up.

Which one of those schools of thought was out of touch?

2. I'm not sure I get the hubris. Big 12, ACC and Pac-10 all wanted Utah. Fox/ESPN was a big part of wanting Utah in the BIg 12. Utah is consistently viewed as one of the top programs in the Big 12 and all of P4 outside P2 and the elite ACC schools.

The Utes are consistently one of the highest ranked and most well respected programs in the west. I don't think this is a program that is hated at all. I think that's unique to BYU and a few BIg 12 guys who were frustrated Utah didn't drop everything for them (part bc they wanted Utah so bad)

3. Objectivity is the end result that Yormark had always wanted Utah and Utah knew their was always a landing spot. I think BYU guys have added their own twist to this...kind of odd that the Big 12 would pass up on what looks to be one of the immediate favs to win the conference.

4. there's only a few twitter guys. That's it. But everyone under 35 that follows CFB seems to be all in the new EA CFB launch. This is where Utah is one of the top 12 programs based on the last decade of performance. I'd say EA is a fair objective observer.

5. What does a falling program mean? We live in a P2 world where they have exponentially better talent, resources, etc. This is why P2 was created in the first place.

BYU fans are probably the only fan base that mocks Utah for not beating blue blood programs every time.

Now that BYU Is P5, and I would love to see them roll in the Big 12, it's fascinating how unaware BYU fans seem to be when criticizing Utah.

6. Utah is exceptionally well respected and brings markedly higher viewership, rankings and prestige than any of the new 8 that joined the Big 12.
