With NIL in the mix now, I don’t see a downside to making them wait a year
and develop a bit more in college. They don’t know it yet, but they’ll have a blast playing college ball and even one hear of college is a big growing experience (even if it’s very different from a typical student)

Any truly NBA ready guys will be making a couple million to play 25-30 games. So they’re gonna do just fine.

And as some pointed out, it prevents kids trying to go to the NBA who would greatly benefit from a year in college. It’s a good rule IMO.
