We actually went independent and was successful at it. ESPN and BIG12 have said
that we added value and money into the conference with the TV deals, and in essence saved the conference TV deal.
Look, we're like the bare minimum of a national brand, but Utah is totally a regional brand. There aren't that many fans outside of Utah. Utah's online fanbase is also the most hated as well, so you're not gaining much ground there.
The fact that Utah had to get a lifeline from the Arizona's schools to get into the conference kind of proves the fact. Plus you guys totally torpedoed your own conference here.
