Thanks. So many factors to consider. We save about 17-20% of pretax income
and then also max out 401K's for both my wife and I. We also max out individual IRAs for both of us. Your example to me is a good one because I've also been scratching my head, saying I'm going to spend 70% of what I currently make now when a good chunk of what I make now goes to investing, tithing, taxes, etc.
