Your argument is that the P12 and Utah by association are an inferior P5 conference and team.

If Utah wins the B12 in its first year, it kills the premise of your argument. P12 and Utah would not be inferior, at least compared to B12.

This is the real reason you want Utah to flop, apart from general rivalry reasons. You don’t want Utah to be a legit top 20 program or at least a better program than you’ve been willing to admit.
