But that kind of dodges the issue. People obviously don't just drive the cheapest vehicle they can find. Which is why I think people who object to expensive vehicles are engaged in some self deception. Unless they drive a 25 year old Chevy Cobalt, they value something about a vehicle beyond "point a to point b reliably and as cheaply as possible."
My Elantra was pretty close to that. But that wasn't enough for me at some point, and isn't for most people.
