Oklahoma also announced a 2028 game with CSU but the Sooners are paying $1.8 million for a one & done deal instead of doing a home & home like BYU.
Earlier this week, Texas Tech cancelled their series with CSU to play Kent State at home instead (no word on the 2nd game but likely another money game at home). CSU replaced the series with Texas Tech with a series against UTSA.
Maybe BYU is trying to save money to pay coaches or bring in new players or just trying to be nice but based on how other teams are scheduling with CSU, we are still acting like a G5 program and not a P4 program.
Finally, the MWC just announced a new TV deal with TruTV and MAX so there is a chance there will be very little TV availability for the game.
