What'ya want: Rapes up 2.4%, muggings up 5%, murders up 1.23%, etc? 😉
I'm in that demographic category (upper 60's), but I'm the parent portion. I still have my parents alive and living in St. George, so weather is often referred to but mainly because they didn't grow up down there (both from Ohio via California) and the desert weather is still an anomaly to them.
I remember being in my 30's and driving my widowed grandmother from Ohio to the Rio Grande Valley in southern Texas where she had spent the last 15 years in the winter with my grandfather. The minute I get her to the trailer camp, they immediately begin to speak of what medications they are now on and what procedures they had done since they had last seen one another. Now I'm in that category and yes, that is what seems to happen when I get together with other family or friends around our age. The cycle repeats itself.
