which is what I think Spain and Croatia will do to Albania (unless maybe Spain has already won the group by the time they play them). Goal difference matters in the group stage, especially in a Group of Death, and a one-goal win over the easiest team in the group doesn’t bode well for Italy.

Of course, if Italy can beat both Spain and Croatia, then goal difference won’t matter to them.
