Random thoughts -
- Avery Johnson ( K-State)doesn't live up to it to the hype. He is just Okay is first year. Finn (Baylor) though, is electric at Baylor and saves Aranda's job.
- Both Rising (Utah) and Daniels (Kansas) make it through the year without injury.
- Arizona puts the Big XII on Notice by beating K-State in Week 3.
- BYU's upset over Utah keeps them out of the Big XII Championshp game
Conference Champion - Oklahoma State over Kansas
Coach of the year: Mike Gundy
Player of the year: Jalen Daniels
Conference Records
- Oklahoma State - 8-1. Gundy shows Wittingham who the better coach is but gets tripped up somewhere along the line.
- Kansas - 7-2. Daniels stays healthy all year long. Him, Neal, and their two top CB's blow through the league
- Utah. 6-3. Lose to Rivals BYU and Colorado in back to back weeks. lol.
- Iowa State - 6-3. Really solid team - Always a tough out.
- Arizona - 6-3. Not bad for their first year in the BigXII but a dissapointment with Fifita and McMillan
- Kansas St - 6-3 Dissapointing year considering what they had in front of them.
- Texas Tech - 5-4. starts out hot but schedule gets tough the back half
- West Virginia - 4-5. Actually a pretty dissapointing season
- UCF - 4-5. Offense is enough. Defense is not.
- TCU - 4-5. Despite having a poor QB rest of team is good enough to pull of some W's
- Colorado - 4-5. Hey. Better than last year. But doesn't meet the hype they created. Deion exits at years end.
- BYU - 4-5. CB is down big time. Politics takes center stage as the Cougs struggle in early Big 12 play. Things get better in November when we go 3/4.a an
- Baylor - 4-5. Aranda's job is saved after they pull a few upsets
- Cincy - 2-7. Sorsby alone prevents Cincy from going 0-9
- Houston - 1-8. Roster still isn't Big 12ish.
- Arizona State - 1-8. They are just bad. Get drummed by everyone. Get one upset win.
