I shied away from the lower bowl, mostly because I didn't feel like the tradeoff between price and quality justified it. And the lower bowl corners really are obstructed views. But I did like the first row of the upper bowl and went with that. You get a pretty good view of the entire rink without feeling like you're viewing the game from orbit.
