massive privacy issues were exposed and Facebook's solutions did not sway public opinion. At that point everyone switched over to Signal. In my opinion, neither are as good as iMessage.

It surprises me people still use text. The U.S. needs to catch up and start using WhatsApp. So much better experience.

Encryption. Unlimited groups. Works on all platforms (even PCs). Can do polls and loads of other features. Better search

I agree it’s not a technology thing. The U.S. started with texts and doesn’t like to change in mass (which is required)
