gauze stuffing out of one of my nostrils. The gauze was all packed inside the finger of a latex glove and inserted way up in there--one in each nostril.

I had already stopped taking any pain medication that day. As he was yanking on the stuffing, I thought my nostril hole was going to tear open. I do not recommend. He had me go home, take another pain pill the next day, and then return to remove the second stuffing.

Some people mentioned shingles in this thread. I've had singles and it didn't even compare in terms of acute pain.
