It tells you there is blood in the stool, not the source.
If you do not have known hemorrhoids or an anal fissure, and have not had a colonoscopy or upper endoscopy, I recommend getting one.

The doctor I saw said a positive FIT was the easiest way for me to get a colonoscopy covered by my insurance at my age.
