I totally understand that some people love women's basketball. What jhazelwood as fast paced and exciting, I view as sloppy and reckless. If you were to put a good 16 year old AAU boys team - where the height and weight is more or less the same as a WNBA roster - the boys win. And play smoother, quicker, and more esthetically.

The WNBA needs Caitlin Clark. They need more players like her. But unfortunately for them, there wasn't another player in last year's draft (or the year before, or the year before) that came close to gathering the interest she garnered. And to be honest, if she hadn't been in contention to be the all-time scoring leader last year, she (and her team, and WCBB) wouldn't have received nearly the TV time they did. The WNBA is a long way from breaking even. The only way they get out of their hole is to have multiple household names become appointment viewing. Because the product is simply inferior to the alternatives. Candace Parker. Sue Bird. Caitlin Clark. There really aren't many household names over the past two decades that the average non-WBB fan know. The WNBA has a massive lack of marketability problem on top of their massive lack of quality product problem. It's ironic that the players who seem to like Clark the least fail to recognize that she is their strongest chip at present at a bigger future payday.
