The difference is that it doesn’t look like basketball
Nearly every other sport the mechanics look the same between boys and girls.
IMO, that is not the case with basketball.
Also, it’s not just about a high school team beating WNBA teams. It’s that I, a 40 year old guy that doesn’t really play could beat them. That’s not the case for tennis, swimming, golf, softball, volleyball, etc.
