Separate from “church”. I’m thinking Ward council, bishopric, something like that for “church meetings”. But maybe my read is wrong.

My point still remains. Some of the greatest memories for me a as a kid and my kids now are events that fall out of the norm (I.e. going to a later football game and going to bed late.)
