Environmental impacts. Strip mining on a scale we have never seen before. Millions of gallons of extremely toxic to extract and refine the metals. At end of EV life, they now have a 2000 lb battery that is hazardous waste to dispose. Recycling of EV batteries isn’t even remotely as effective as ICE lead acid. EVs cause twice the road damage so we are extracting 2x the fossil fuels that they hate to fix the roads. Drive an EV cause it’s fun but know you are degrading the environment.
