Friend from out of country says ear has felt clogged for hours and won’t “pop”;
can’t hear very well.
Should I take him to InstaCare or do things like this normally resolve themselves over time? How long is too long to wait?

Use a blow dryer to dry it out. DO NOT push a Q-Tip into the ear.

I've had this a couple of times. It's ear wax and a doctor can clean it out.

Eustachian tube or wax. Afrin or debrox

No pain. Can hear some, it’s just very muffled.

Probably wax. Can try debrox and a syringe or go get it flushed

Thanks - we’ll try Debrox.

If it's a wax issue, don't use a Q-tip, it could damage the bones in the middle
