If it is an American/English name and people don’t know how to pronounce it so often pronounce it wrong (eg, Hurricane, Des Moines, Louisville, Worcester, etc)…it is probably best to pronounce it correctly.
When there is an established way to say it in English (American) that is different than the native language (eg, Chile, Poland) pronounce it the English way (with some leeway for native Spanish or Polish speakers).
I remember appropriately taking crap from siblings/friends after returning from Spanish speaking mission and mistakenly pronouncing San Francisco or Orlando or Los Angeles like you’d say it in Spanish.
